A door is handled more than any other painted surface in the house. Hands, keys, pets and humidity all show up on it first. We start by removing hardware or masking it with care, cleaning off oils, filling dings and sanding the old finish so new paint bonds. Panels, rails and stiles are painted in order so lap marks stay out of sight, and the edges are finished as carefully as the faces.
Exterior doors in Central Florida take direct sun, driving afternoon rain and constant moisture. Weather-facing doors get a primer suited to the substrate and exterior coatings made for that exposure. Front doors are a chance for a bold color, and we help you choose one that suits the stucco and trim. Interior doors can be sprayed or brushed, with light sanding between coats for a smooth, even surface.

Do you take the doors off the hinges?
When a door needs a sprayed finish or full edge coverage, we remove it and paint it flat. Otherwise we paint it in place and mask hinges and hardware carefully.
Can my front door handle a dark color in the Florida sun?
Yes, with the right product. Dark colors absorb more heat, so we use exterior coatings rated for sun exposure and talk through any door material that needs extra care.
How soon can the door be closed after painting?
Doors are left open or propped until the finish is dry to the touch so they do not stick to the weatherstripping. We let you know the specific timing for the product used before we start.
