Most Central Florida homes are stucco over concrete block. Both are porous, and both move with the heat. Strong sun and daily summer storms open hairline cracks and wear down joints around windows and trim, giving water a path into the wall. Waterproofing here is a coatings and sealing service for exterior walls. It is not foundation or roof waterproofing, which belong to other specialists.
We start by inspecting the walls and marking cracks, open joints and failed caulk. Hairline stucco cracks are cleaned out and filled with a flexible patching compound. We seal around windows, doors and trim with exterior-grade caulk. Walls are then coated with an elastomeric or masonry waterproofing coating, or treated with a water-repellent sealer on exposed masonry. The coating flexes with the wall, sheds rain and gives the color a sound base.

What is an elastomeric coating?
It is a thick, flexible exterior coating that stretches as stucco expands and contracts. It bridges hairline cracks and sheds rain, which suits block and stucco homes in a hot, wet climate.
Can waterproofing be done with an exterior repaint?
Yes. Crack sealing, caulking and a waterproofing coating are often done as part of an exterior repaint, since the walls are already being prepared.
